Improving Occupational Safety and Health Knowledge at SMK Dinamika, Tegal City

Abstract

Occupational safety and health is an important aspect that schools must pay attention to in order to prepare students with the skills needed by the world of work. This PkM activity aims to increase students' knowledge about the importance of implementing occupational safety and health. The activity method is carried out by providing material and practice on occupational safety and health, the activity begins with a pre-test on the material provided then at the end of the activity a post-test is carried out. The results of the pre-test showed that some students still had low knowledge about occupational safety and health. The post-test assessment showed an increase in students' knowledge about occupational safety and health with an increase of 35%, from 25% having good knowledge (pre-test) to 60% having good knowledge (post-test). Awareness of the implementation of occupational safety and health needs to be instilled in students, especially in carrying out practicums and practical activities in the field.
