Deteksi Dini Masalah Gizi Dan Kesehatan Reproduksi Pada Remaja Putri di Sma Muhammadiyah Kota Tegal
Abstract
Adolescent girls are a vulnerable group to nutritional and reproductive health problems that may affect their quality of life and future maternal readiness. This community service activity aimed to conduct early detection of nutritional status and menstrual disorders among adolescent girls at a senior high school in Tegal City. The activities included health education on balanced nutrition and reproductive health, anthropometric measurements to assess nutritional status, and questionnaires regarding menstrual patterns and dysmenorrhea complaints. The results showed that among 98 participants, 11 (11.2%) had a body mass index (BMI) below 18, and 1 (1.0%) had a BMI above 24. Furthermore, 5 (5.1%) experienced severe dysmenorrhea, while 18 (18.3%) had mild to moderate dysmenorrhea. Chi-square analysis revealed a significant relationship between BMI and the incidence of dysmenorrhea (p < 0.05). This activity emphasizes the importance of early detection, continuous education, and regular monitoring of adolescents’ nutritional and reproductive health to prevent further complications.
