APPLICATION OF STRESS MANAGEMENT (STRESS COPING) IN PEOPLE WITH HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) THROUGH VENTILATION COMMUNICATION APPROACH IN PATI REGENCY

Abstract

This community service aims to implement stress management for people with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in Pati Regency. The method used is in the form of health counseling. This community service is a follow-up to Yuli Irnawati's (2022) research titled Case Study on Coping Stress in PLWHA in Pati Regency. To address the existing problems in Pati Regency, the community service team can make efforts to implement stress management for PLWHA. One effort that can be made is through health education programs and mentoring using a ventilation/exploration communication approach. As a result, PLWHA actively participate in activities, shown by the many questions they ask and their willingness to express their feelings, thoughts, and experiences after being infected with HIV, as well as their willingness to apply stress management (coping stress) in daily life.
